Beryl and Saffron: Update 9

We’re a ways into the Underdark now. I’ve cleared everything off the main map including all three of the special enclaves. And we’ve done the first mission to rescue Phaerie. I like this point of the game a lot, this is where the SoA team is starting feel pretty bada**.

I could mention too I’m really enjoying the Deities of Faerun mod. And did I mention it rebuilds Mazzy as a fighter/cleric of Avoreen? That means I’m running with three clerics. All of different non-human deities. Pretty wild. And pretty.darn.powerful. I like this team!

Beryl and Saffron appreciate fully the gravitas and peril involved in penetrating a Drow City to rescue Silver Dragon Eggs. And apparently they are digging the Drow disguises. I can just see Adalon rolling her enormous eyes “my precious eggs are stolen and the universe sends me Halflings…”

    Going to be a while before I get this far. I can absolutely see a number of BG2 personalities either rolling their eyes at being presented with giggling Halflings as saviors… or hiding their heads in shame after being beaten down by said giggling Halflings.

      Gee I could make giggling heroines the them of this run!

      Or not. It just struck me that two (halfling) sisters barely out of their teens, being forced to play elaborate dress up. And they’re comparatively TALL… Just seems ripe for some giggles.

      Its funny too, the next team I’m working on for IWD will be all weepy. At least much of the backstory is melancholy, sort of the opposite of this.

      I do love the idea though of Irenicus being giggled at. Especially the more he chews the scenery, the more the twins can’t contain themselves!

      Puts a whole new perspective on “To end? Like this?!”

        Yeah. Its too bad Imoen isn’t quite who she was by the time you get there. Otherwise she would have a lot of material to work with. Someone like Jan would be pretty un-impressed with his puffery as well. But don’t think I’ll have room for him by the time I get there.

        Yeah I think Imoen would just be happiest with his head on a platter.

        Of course on this run through Saffron would have to ask what kind of garnish she’d like with that.
